UP: Notorious criminal escapes with wife from court premises under police custody, 2 constables arrested

Moradabad: A notorious history sheeter Faheem, wanted in many criminal cases, dodged the police and escaped from their custody from the court premises here on Thursday.

Two constables who escorted the criminal have been arrested.

Faheem was in judicial custody in Bijnor jail. He was escorted in a roadways bus by two constables, Rahul Kumar and Dinesh Kumar Singh, of Bijnor Police Lines to Moradabad court for hearing in a murder case.

As soon as they reached the court, Fahim told the constables that he wanted to meet his wife Asma who was ill and was at present staying with his sister Nargis and brother-in-law Rashid at Hasanpur crossroads in Pakwara nearby.

According to Dynamite News Correspondent, the constables agreed to his request and took him to his ailing wife in a car. After reaching there, Faheem requested the constables to sit in a room on the first floor of the house. Meanwhile, Faheem and his wife Asma locked the door of that  room from outside. After that Faheem with his wife fled fron there in the same car in which the constables had brought him there.

The incident has sent ripples through out the police department. SP City Akhilesh Bhadauria has deployed several police teams to nab the absconding history sheeter. 

 A resident of Umri Kalan, Nagar Panchayat of Kanth police station area, Faheem is also known as ATM. More than  24 cases are registered against him for major crimes like murder, robbery, dacoity, road holdup, ransom, in Bareilly, Hapur, Ghaziabad, Badaun, Noida besides Gurgaon in Haryana and Udham Singh Nagar in Uttarakhand.
