UP Deputy Chief minister Brajesh Pathak meets family members of deceased Dr Deependra Singh

Prayagraj: UP Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak met the family members of Dr Deependra Singh who recently breathed his last on the midnight of June 17-18. Recently, on his request, Dr Singh was transferred from district hospital Chitrakoot to Prayagraj but by the time his request, for being transferred to Prayagraj on the ground of his ailment, was approved, Dr Singh was no more.

The deputy CM, on his visit to Sangam City to take part in the plantation drive, suddenly arrived at the residence of Dr Singh at Allahapur locality of Prayagraj on Tuesday. During his visit, the deputy CM has also assured Dr Abha Singh, wife of the deceased doctor, for giving government job.

According to his family members, Dr Singh was requesting transfer to Prayagraj owing to his illness.

But, by the time he was transferred, he had breathed his last. “My brother was suffering with an infection in liver and was requesting transfer for the past around two years but all the requests failed to make any impact.

He was on leave for the past three months and he finally breathed his last on the intervening night of June 17-18”, said Dr Singh’s younger brother, Hemendra Singh.

He further informed that they saw the transfer list on the WhatsApp of his brother on the morning of July 1.

Talking to media at Dr Singh’s residence, Pathak said, “I have met the family members of Dr Singh and have assured that the medical fraternity and the department have lost one of their family members and the government stands with the family during these testing times as this is our responsibility to help the family in very possible manner.”

Dr. Deependra’s wife, Dr Abha Singh told that she has requested the deputy CM to absorb her in the state medical services as per her eligibility and the deputy CM has assured her of a government job.
