UP: Class XI girl abducted by two bike-borne men outside school gate in Agra; police suspect elopement

AGRA: A girl student of Class XI was allegedly kidnapped by two bike-borne men from outside her school’s gate in Agra's Shaheed Nagar in UP on Wednesday.

The victim’s uncle, who came to drop her school, was injured while trying to nab the accused.

Police said the incident took place around 8:30am in Sadar area after the girl was dropped at the school by her uncle.

Later, the victim’s uncle saw her with two bike-borne men and when he tried to stop them, his bike skid and he fell on the road and got injured.

The accused ran away from there.

The girl’s uncle immediately informed police about the incident.

An FIR has been registered under IPC Sections 363 (kidnapping) and 366 (Kidnapping or abducting a woman to compel her marriage or to cause her defilement etc) on a complaint filed by the girl’s family member at Sadar Bazar police station.

However, police suspect that the girl could have eloped with one of the suspects.

Agra SSP Sudhir Kumar Singh said that prima facie it seems that the girl had been lured by the suspects and had gone with them on her own will.

CCTV footage is being checked and the matter is being inquired in detail.

The police got some clues and the girl will be rescued soon.

Police said that preliminary investigations revealed that a man from Bharatpur’s Kumher city was involved in the alleged abduction.

A police team has been sent to Bharatpur to nab him and further investigations are on, said officials.
