Muzaffarnagar: An 18-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide here by jumping in front of a train after being rebuked by a youth's family for being in a relationship with him, police said.
The body of Nasrin was recovered along the tracks near Sindhawli village under Mansurpur police station in the district on Wednesday, they said.
A case has been registered against Sahib Hasan, who was the victim's boyfriend, his father Zakir and another man, police further said.

Zakir has been arrested for abetting the suicide while the other two are absconding, they added.
According to the complaint lodged by Nasrin's brother Sajid, it is alleged that Sahib was responsible for the teenager to have taken such an extreme step.
The couple were found talking to each other by his father Zakir, who got enraged and scolded both of them, it stated.

In another incident in neighbouring Shamli district, police said Javed (25) committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at Gangeru village on Wednesday.
Police said the deceased was an engineering student and apparently took the step due to a family dispute. (PTI)
