At her wedding in UP's Mathura, bride shot dead by jilted lover

AGRA: In a tragic incident, a woman was allegedly shot dead by her jilted lover at her wedding ceremony in Mathura’s Naujheel area on Friday.

The victim has been identified as Kajal.

According to police, the accused had been in relationship with the woman and was irked by her wedding with another man.

In a police complaint, victim's father, Khubi Ram Prajapati, alleged that his daughter had gone inside her house after the garland ritual around 1.30am when the suspect, Aneesh, shot her dead with a country made pistol.

She died on the spot as the bullet had hit near her left eye.

The accused somehow managed to flee from the spot and a manhunt was launched to trace him.
