An unvaccinated mum woke up from a Covid coma without realising she'd given birth.
Jo Udeze, 39, was wary of getting jabbed while pregnant but was struck down by the virus at 30 weeks.
She was taken to Walsall Manor Hospital in August where she deteriorated quickly before doctors told her she would need to be placed in an induced coma.
Jo spent two weeks in a coma while doctors successfully delivered her baby early.
The new mum described her confusion at waking up having giving birth.
She said: "I vaguely remember doctors having a conversation with me when they said they had to deliver the baby because there's nothing we can do for you while you're pregnant."

But Jo's Covid had firmly taken hold, and she went on to say: "I'm hearing all this but I'm like I can't breathe, I can't process what you're telling me.
Jo's son Isaiah was born via C-section.
She revealed the first time she saw her new son was in a photo shown to her by a doctor at the hospital, reports the BBC.

Jo continued: "I was confused, I didn't know what was happening.
"I said, 'that can't be my son, I'm pregnant', and I just remember feeling my stomach and thinking...they've taken my baby."
Jo remained in intensive care for a few weeks and is now home recovering from long Covid symptoms.
Between May and October last year, 96% of pregnant women admitted to hospital with Covid symptoms were unvaccinated.
Pregnant women were also found to be at heightened risk from the virus and in December were added to the priority list for the vaccine.
