Unusual feature in Nottingham flat that you might recognise

Ever wondered what happens to signs and shop memorabilia when they are no longer needed at a venue?

We've spotted a huge sign from a popular Notts bar and restaurant in an apartment building.

Step into a three-storey building in Woodborough Road and you'll find that the recently converted detached has been remodelled to provide five apartments.

While there is nothing unusual about this, one apartment might surprise you with its decor.

Following round from the decorative plaster moulding of the frieze that runs around the top of the living space is a huge The Fat Cat cafe bar sign.

Marking the pathway from the living space to the kitchen the sign is certainly a talking point.

Greg Fieldhouse, head of department at FHP Living, said simply: "The landlord was given the sign when he asked the builders stripping the shop out if he could have it."

Since then the cafe bar has relocated within its Angel Row address and updated its signage style.

The apartment building iin Woodborough Road, Nottingham, is currently up for sale as a whole with all five self-contained apartments let.

The freehold investment generates a gross rental income of £73,400 pa (a yield of 7.25% according to the agent) and is being sold by FHP Living at £875,000.
