Unusual cross-eyed puppy who always looks angry is up for adoption

An adorable puppy with an unusual appearance has found fame online during his quest for a family.

The rare dog has hydrocephalus, which is a term for a build-up of fluid on the brain and leads to a large, abnormally-shaped skull.

The pup, named Chupete, is cross-eyed and has very distinct eyebrows that make him look permanently angry.

But his little scowl only makes him more lovable, and hundreds of people around the world have fallen for him.

Chupete is currently in the Narices Frías shelter in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and is in dire need of a CT scan to further assess his condition.

Animal activist Claudia Patricia, from Bolivia, shared Chupete's story on Facebook on Tuesday and garnered lots of attention.

"Meet our beloved Chupete, a true testimony of God's love that gives him a second chance," her post read.

She describes the unique-looking dog as a "good puppy " and a "miracle", and urges a loving owner to take him home.

"Please if you can adopt a dog, take Chupete, he is a little miracle of God," Claudia added.

"Whoever wants to adopt him, it would be a gift."

She explains how the lucky dog should have died but has survived against all odds.

Animal lovers were left in awe of Chupete and joined in the mission to find him a home - even turning him into a meme.

"He is beautiful, and those eyebrows characterise him as such a beautiful puppy," one person wrote.

"What a beautiful baby," someone agreed, whilst another commented: "I want a Chupete!"

A fourth added: "I hope he finds a very loving home that gives him all the care he needs."

Another pooch that has found fame online this week is rescue dog Belle, who has a rare condition that means she always looks surprised.

Belle was born with a birth defect so the muscles in her head are stretched back.

Whilst it doesn't cause her any pain, it leaves her with an everlasting shocked expression.

Lieschen O'Connor, 38, from Kansas, US, adopted the Doberman cross in 2017, and says she loves Belle's unique appearance.

She regularly gets approached by strangers calling her "cutest pup ever".
