TIRUPATI: The flight of a drone camera flying above the world renowned Srisailam shrine in Kurnool district only at nights over the last five days remains an unsolved puzzle even as the local police have intensified their search to unravel the mystery behind this unending suspicious activity.
It may be recalled that the Srisailam Devasthanams officials who spotted a suspicious drone camera flying above the Lord Shiva temple as well as other tourist spots in the pilgrim town only at nights over the last four days lodged a police complaint on Saturday.
Srisailam police registered a case and intensified their searches at all hotels, guesthouses and cottages at the pilgrim town since Saturday. Cops have also undertaken combing operations inside the Nallamala forests where the suspicious drone camera was found to be disappearing every night.
However even as the police intensified their search to trace out the origins of this suspicious activity, the drone camera was once again spotted flying around the Srisailam town at high speeds after sunset on Sunday.
Locals and particularly Srisailam Devasthanams staffers are panic-stricken as such kind of a suspicious activity is unheard of in the shrine's history.
