The nation's capital is potentially home to a new multimillionaire whose identity remains a mystery.
On Thursday, June 25, an ACT player held the only division one-winning entry nationally in Powerball draw 1571, which had a prize of $40 million.
The jackpot win marks the third-largest lottery prize ever won in the ACT. The ticket was purchased from a NSW Lotteries outlet in the territory.
As the winning entrant is not registered with The Lott Members Club, the winner is yet to be notified of their prize.
Lottery operator The Lott is encouraging all ACT residents and visitors with an entry to Thursday's draw to check their tickets.
