Genshin Impact comes with a wide cast of powerful characters that you can use in the game, but there is, as always, a catch. As a Gacha game, Impact relies heavily on its paid “Wish” mechanic to dole out new characters, making the prospect of building out a capable party daunting for any free-to-play player. Luckily, there are a few opportunities to get free additions, and one of the most exciting ones is landing in the game at the moment. The Unreconciled Stars event just started up today, and with it comes the opportunity to get 4-star Electro character Fischl for free.
To start with, you’ll need to reach Adventure Rank 20 to even participate in the event, which takes a bit but many people have likely reached by this point. Then, you’ll need to go on a little quest with Fischl and her weird little raven to investigate the meteorites that have been dropping around Springvale. It doesn’t take long.
After that, you’re in the more open-ended portion of the event. You’re meant to be tracking down piece of meteorite all over the map, for which you can use this handy guide. There are other components in here too, but what you’re looking for here is the “Prinzessin’s Pact”, which you can find underneath the events tab. The steps here are:
- Complete the quest “Star of Destiny”: 0/1
- Accumuilate completions of the Meteorite Remains Salvage Challenge: 0/14
- Accumulate completions of the fallen star challenge: 0/7
There are three phases to the Unreconciled Stars event. The first started today, the second, “Star of Deceitful Dreams” starts on November 18, and the third, “Star of Destiny”, starts on November 23.
That means you won’t be able to Fischl for free until November 23, because the Star of Destiny is required for completing the Pact. Until then, do everything you can to get ready, but if you want to keep playing this game, don’t sleep on Fischl, because she’s a capable Electro user that could replace Lisa in your free-to-play roster. Check back fro more as the event continues, but so far it’s pretty straightforward.
