'Unreal business!' - Nottingham Forest are getting excited about this bizarre transfer twist

Nottingham Forest target Mbaye Diagne teased Reds fans by dropping a massive hint that he could be making the switch to the City Ground.

The 28-year-old centre-forward scored 11 goals in 17 games to help fire the Turkish giants to the league and cup double in 2019 before being frozen out and sent out on loan to Club Brugge, with whom he’s played Champions League football this season.

Sabri Lamouchi could pay big for £7million rated Senegal international if Forest make a return to the Premier League, claims HITC.

And now the striker, on loan in Belgium from Turkish club Galatasaray, has taken to Instagram to tweet a picture of himself in action in the Champions League with a Forest badge edited into the shot.

Accompanying the post, and translated from French, Diagne has attached the caption: "Destiny is written and the truth remains. Thank you very much, my God. I accept everything you do for me."

The post has caused confusion amongst Reds supporters with news on the rumoured transfer having seemingly gone quiet in recent weeks.

Here is what they have been saying on social media...

Trent Hutson: Unreal bit of business! The lads goal scoring record speaks for itself and he has Champions League experience.

Jack Bryant: Is Mbaye Diagne a done deal then?

Callum Shaw: No chance we are actually signing Diagne. He’s scored goals every club he’s been at and we don’t like strikers that do that.

ForestAnalytics: I guess you don’t put our badge unless it’s a done deal. The transfer market has his contract up in June. Should be on a pre-contract.

NFFCWoodz: That's pretty much confirmed then, I think he’ll be a great addition to the team, we’ll see tho.
