This is the moment that a cat was found under a neighbour’s car after hitching a ride for 15 miles.
Olaf, described by his owner as a “a scaredy-cat who can be afraid of his own shadow”, was missing for four days when neighbour, Abigail Harrison, spotted him under her car as she was arriving at work in Chelmsford.
CCTV footage shows Harrison, who happens to work at Cats Protection Essex Cat Centre, scooping Olaf into a basket with the help of her colleagues.
Harrison was able to reunite Olaf with his owner, 55-year-old Hazel Ohler who lives near Harrison, thanks to his microchip.
Ohler said it was “incredible that he picked that particular car to take a nap in”.
