‘Unknown forces’ keeping them apart: Inside the disturbing social media of Jennifer Aniston gate-crash suspect Jimmy Wayne Carwyle

Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, a 48-year-old Mississippi native, has been at the center of a bizarre incident involving actress Jennifer Aniston. Carwyle was recently booked on suspicion of felony vandalism. He allegedly crashed his gray Chrysler PT Cruiser into the gates of Aniston’s Bel-Air home in Los Angeles.

Carwyle’s social media history reveals a troubling pattern of obsession with the Friends star. According to NBC News, law enforcement says Carwyle has posted about Aniston on various platforms. One of his most notable posts was from March 26th. It states, “I’ve been writing, since the Beginning Jennifer Joanna Aniston Carwyle, with you.” This post indicates his fixation, his belief that he shares a marital bond with Aniston, and correctly uses her middle name.

‘I LOVE YOU Emanuel Jennifer Joanna Aniston Carwyle!’

Things got even stranger from there. In another post from October, Carwyle shared an advertisement featuring Aniston promoting Lolavie Haircare products. Carywyle declared, “I LOVE YOU Emanuel Jennifer Joanna Aniston Carwyle!”

Days before the incident, Carwyle alleged that “unnamed forces” kept him and Aniston apart. “If someone out there can reach Jennifer Joanna Aniston Carwyle, let her know about the corruption going on trying to keep Me from her, you will be Blessed!” Carwyle wrote.

‘We just hope he gets the help he needs’

Carwyle’s descent into obsession did not occur overnight. Childhood friends reveal that Carwyle lived a stable life as an automobile service technician before quitting his job five years ago. His friend Steve Rhea disclosed that Carwyle left Mississippi in September and started living out of his car at a Walmart Supercenter in Burbank, California.

The pandemic marked a turning point in Carwyle’s life. According to Marty Merritt, a childhood friend and Baptist pastor, Carwyle’s personality shifted drastically, developing delusions of being a Christ-like figure and maintaining a fixation on Aniston. Merritt expressed concern for Carwyle’s mental state: “We just hope he gets the help he needs. I really hate that this happened to Miss Aniston; this was terrible.”

Rhea and Merritt have both publicly expressed their hopes that Carwyle gets the mental health support he desperately needs. “This is not Jimmy,” Merritt said, recalling the stark contrast between the man they once knew and his current state. “I hope there’s some way to fix him, but I don’t know.”

Following the gate-crashing incident, Carwyle was arrested and booked without bail. At present, it remains unclear whether he has legal representation. Law enforcement continues to investigate his social media activity and search for any writings left in his car, attempting to piece together his motive.
