University of Canberra campus to 'reactivate' next month

The University of Canberra has announced to students that it plans to "reactivate" its campus on June 2.

In an email to students and staff Vice Chancellor Professor Paddy Nixon said that the plan prioritises public safety in line with COVID-19 restrictions.

"We will remain vigilant as we understand that the pandemic is not over," he said.

The university's Winter Term begins on June 1 and will continue to be delivered through remote learning, except for some laboratory classes.

Informal learning spaces on campus will be reopened during Winter Term while adhering to social distancing measures.

Semester two orientation begins at University of Canberra on July 27.

"The Faculties, together with DVC Academic and DVC Research and Innovation, will work on how course delivery and research practices can transition to more campus-based activities during Semester Two," Professor Nixon said.

"Rest assured that all plans will follow government advice and prioritise physical distancing and hygiene measures."
