University Boulevard reopens after crash saw traffic diverted

Traffic was diverted after a crash on one of Nottingham's major roads.

The incident happened just before 4pm on Saturday, May 1 on University Boulevard.

A number of buses were having to be diverted as a result, including the Skylink service.

Trentbarton tweeted at the time: "Due to a road traffic collision on University Boulevard our indigo and Skylink Nottingham routes are diverting as follows:

"Towards Nottingham: diverted via Woodside Road and Derby Road to Queen's Medical Centre to re-join normal route. Towards Long Eaton and EMA Airport: normal route."

Travel site Inrix said: "A6005 University Boulevard inbound closed, slow traffic due to accident between Lower Road and A52 Clifton Boulevard.

"Closed past the university. Diversion - via the A52 Derby Road which is a little busy."

The road has now reopened.
