Universal Orlando ticket prices increase

ORLANDO, Fla. _ Following Walt Disney World's lead, Universal Orlando has raised its ticket prices.

Current one-day single-park admission now starts at $110, up from $105. Park-to-park tickets start at $165, up from $155.

Kids get a $5 discount.

Prices vary by time of year. Adult peak-season tickets cost $124 for one park and $179 for two.

Like Disney, Universal has a number of bundles available that decrease the per-day cost of visiting.

Passes still start at $260 for those with blockout dates.

Visitors can save $20 on multi-day tickets by purchasing online.

There is still no single-day price listed for Volcano Bay, the water park Universal will open May 25. Three-day tickets that include Volcano Bay range from $220 to $275 depending on whether visitors want to visit just one park a day or have unlimited ability to go from one to another.

Disney World on Sunday raised the prices of its tickets, with one-day admission to the Magic Kingdom now starting at $107. The other major theme parks usually all increase admission around the same time.

Visiting SeaWorld for a day costs $99.99, with a $20 discount available for online purchases.
