'Unique resort' on Scottish Island looking for food and beverage assistant

Sometimes it's nice to get away from the busy city life and head away for a few days.

This doesn't mean you have to go abroad, and in fact, many love to head away to the Scottish highlands and islands so see what else Scotland has to offer.

And now there is an opportunity for a great job on one Scottish Island, the Isle of Arran.

You may be wondering why you would want to live on an Island but according to Glasgow Live, the Isle of Arran has not only been named as one of best places to visit by a luxury travel magazine, but it is also home to an estate which has been named as one of the best UK staycations by Conde Nast.

If you are up for a change of scenery and like your food and drink, you may want to think about applying. On the job website Indeed, a "unique resort" called Auchrannie are now looking to recruit a 'Food and Beverage Assistant' to join our their team.

The job description reads: "Situated on the beautiful Isle of Arran on the West Coast of Scotland, Auchrannie is a unique resort with two four star hotels and over forty five star luxury self-catering lodges and retreats. In addition to our luxury accommodation we deliver amazing dining experiences across our three restaurants, as well as the chance for our guests to relax in our luxurious leisure facilities and book a treatment in our ASPA, Scotland’s first island destination spa."

Working there is said to offer staff a "unique employee experience" and offers great benefits - other than waking up to stunning scenery.

They add: "We offer great benefits including free access to our luxurious leisure facilities and employee referral programmes. We also have modern live in accommodation available onsite."

Experience working in hospitality is essential for the role and as expected, you must have a passion for providing excellent service for those coming to visit.

The job, posted six days ago, is a full-time and permanent position with a salary of £10.15 per hour. On top of that, staff are also given tips.
