'Unique property' most inaccessible home in county with no electric on sale for £300k

A 'genuinely unique property' that needs considerable renovations has been put up for sale for £300,000.

The property is a former railway worker's home, and needs considerable renovation, situated next to the famous Settle to Carlisle railway line in the Yorkshire Dales.

It can't be accessed via road, as the latter part can only be navigated by a 4x4 or a quad bike.

It's situated on a busy route where walkers take the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, and it's gone on sale with an asking price of £300,000, reports Yorkshire Live.

The three-bedroom home, known as 3 Bleamoor Cottages, is situated on the main hiking path up to Whernside in Ribblehead, Chapel-le-Dale.

Estate agent Fisher Hopper said the home presents "an interesting investment with a range of potential commercial opportunities".

The cottage is beside the Blea Moor signal box - the most isolated box in England that is still manned by Network Rail.

Those interested in the home will have to tackle a 20-minute walk from the parking at Ribblehead Viaduct before being able to view it.

There are no mains services currently available at the home, but Fisher Hopper said: "For the right buyer with vision, there is great potential here."

Here are some of the best pictures of the house, which is currently up for sale in the Yorkshire Dales.
