Unique chainsaw carving of Falkirk's 'much loved' Hamish the horse a step closer

A memorial to remember a much-loved Falkirk horse has taken a step closer thanks to generous donations from locals.

Hamish the Clydesdale horse sadly passed away in November 2021, following a period of ill health.

Bosses at Muiravonside Farm want to honour his memory with a unique chainsaw carving of Hamish from a single piece of large wood.

A fundraiser was set up and visitors and supporters have now raised the £750 needed.

A spokesperson for the site said: "We want to say a big thank you to all of the wonderful people who kindly donated for Hamish's Memoria!

"We reached our target and we are now able to commission a unique chainsaw carving of Hamish in his honour."
