Uniqlo's Airism mask hits shelves June 19

Uniqlo Co., operator of a Japanese clothing store chain, will start selling reusable masks made from Airism material, which is the material used to make the brand's innerwear, at all Uniqlo stores nationwide and online starting on Friday, the company announced Monday.

The masks come in a pack of three and costs 990, yen excluding tax. It comes in white and there are three sizes available.

According to Uniqlo, the mask has three layers. The innermost layer is made of Airism material, which makes it feel soft and smooth. The middle layer is a filter that blocks droplets containing bacteria and viruses, as well as pollen and other substances. The outer layer is made of a mesh material that blocks UV rays. The mask is machine washable using a mild detergent.
