Union Minister Anurag Thakur targets HP CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on law and order situation

SHIMLA: Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Sunday targeted the chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu by questioning the law and situation prevailing in Himachal Pradesh.

Raising the issue of a woman recently being paraded in Hamirpur district after the blackening of face and chopping of her hair, Anurag Thakur said this unfortunate incident has occurred in the home district of chief minister itself so he should pay attention to his area too because the law-and-order situation in all the Congress ruled states has worsened and the law-and-order situation of Himachal also seems to be in ruins.

While participating in various programs organized by BJP’s Scheduled Caste Morcha and Yuva Morcha in Shimla, Anurag Thakur said that the incident that happened with the woman in Hamirpur is unfortunate. He said that it is very shameful that such an incident happens in the chief minister's home district and this kind of atrocities against a woman is condemnable.

He alleged that law and order has worsened in all the Congress ruled states. He said that for example, in Rajasthan, 17 cases of rape with women are reported every day, but there is no voice raised and instead only politics is played. He said that Congress has only done politics regarding Manipur. He requested Sukhu to pay attention to his area also.

Taking a dig at Congress and INDIA-Alliance, Anurag Thakur said that they are an organization like “birds of a feather flock together” as they have neither any ideology nor any vision towards the country. He said that when a situation of conflict arises in the future in the alliance, the entire country will see it. He said this opposition alliance is a mixture of arrogant and opportunistic people who are working only to harm “Sanatan” dharma.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation of a new India, a self-reliant India, a developed India and Modi is such a leader whose life inspires all to learn. He said that he feels fortunate to be getting the opportunity to work and learn under his leadership.
