An uninsured vehicle has been seized in Swansea after police said its driver failed a breath test.
Officers spotted the vehicle travelling at high speed in the city centre during the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The Twitter account for South Wales Police Roads Policing Unit posted a picture of the breath test at 4.25am displaying a result of 62 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath. The limit is 35.
The tweet read: "Another #uninsured vehicle #seized by #team1rpuwest this morning, this time in #Swansea. Vehicle had been sighted high speed in city centre, things got worse for driver when he failed a #breathtest "
If drink driving leads to death the offender can be jailed for up to 14 years.
Some people caught drunk behind the wheel who haven't had an accident can still be charged £2,500, lose their licence and potentially face a spell behind bars of up to six months.
