Uninsured, untaxed L driver nabbed by Dublin gardai after breaking red light

A Dublin driver was nabbed by gardai after breaking a red light and was found to have no insurance and an amended tax disc.

Gardai from Kevin Street were on patrol when they stopped the driver, who was also a learner permit holder with no L plates displayed.

The vehicle was seized and driver will face court proceedings.

Posting about the incident on social media, a spokesperson for An Garda Siochana said: "Gardaí from Kevin Street were on patrol when they saw this vehicle break a red traffic light.

"The vehicle was stopped, and the driver was found to be uninsured, had no L plates displayed and had attempted to amend their tax disc.

"The vehicle was seized and court is to follow."
