Uninsured driver went to pick up friend who had car seized by police

An uninsured driver had his vehicle seized by police - after he went to pick up a friend who had also had his car seized for having no insurance.

The incident occurred in the Broxtowe area of Nottingham.

Nottinghamshire Police's Broxtowe City team posted about the incident online on Sunday, September 12 - jokingly saying they had picked up a "two for one" deal on the cars after the initial stop.

A picture taken at the scene shows police with the two vehicles at the side of the road after making the discovery.

A spokesperson for Broxtowe City Police said: "It seemed to be a two for one deal on these vehicles after the original driver got his mate who also had no insurance to pick him up."
