Dyfed Powys Traffic Police arrested a motorist in Brecon for a string of offences on Friday night.
The driver's vehicle was flagged down by a police patrol who had run a check and found it to be uninsured.
However, police quickly ascertained that the suspect was under the influence of drugs and only had possession of a provisional licence and was unsupervised.

The motorist is now in custody after failing a roadside drugs wipe for cannabis and cocaine.
Dyfed Powys Police tweeted at 2.26am on Saturday: "Vehicle stopped in Brecon this evening. Driver provisional licence holder and not being supervised. No insurance. @DrugWipeUK drugswipe administered with positive indication for cannabis.
"In custody for blood sample to be obtained #dontdrugdrive #RoadSafety #drugdrive ^1007"
