Unicorns and Vikings part of the fun at Barhill Woodland Festival

If you went down to the woods at the weekend you’d have been sure of a big surprise.

But it wasn’t the teddy bears having their picnic you’d have discovered – it would have been the Barhill Woodland Festival.

Kirkcudbright Development Trust and the town’s summer festivities, along with the Galloway Glens Landscape Partnership, put on the three day extravaganza featuring workshops, storytelling, guided tours, light shows and barbecues.

Some Vikings also put in an appearance – and there was even the chance to walk with a unicorn.
