Unicorn Store trailer: Brie Larson directs Samuel L. Jackson in Netflix comedy

Unicorn Store has dropped its first trailer.

Captain Marvel star Brie Larson makes her directorial debut in this Netflix comedy film which she also stars in and produced.

Oscar-winner Larson portrays Kit, an artist who a mysterious invitation that could fulfil a childhood dream.

Larson's Marvel co-star Samuel L. Jackson also stars in the film as eccentric character The Salesman, who at the mysterious store offers whatever the visitor needs to obtain.

And Kit wants a unicorn.

"This is crazy," says Kit in the trailer, and it seems like it.

But things get emotional as the footage goes on and the film gets inspirational, saying "everyone needs a little magic in their lives."

The film also stars Toy Story's Jessie herself Joan Cusack and The West Wing star Bradley Whitford.

Unicorn Store first premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2017 before it was acquired by streaming giant Netflix in January this year.

Larson won praise and financial success with her turn as Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel and is due to reprise her role as the heroine in the upcoming superhero epic Avengers: Endgame.
