Uni graduates who got a first-class degree can get a free three-course meal at one of Glasgow's top hotels

A brand new restaurant in Glasgow is offering a free slap-up meal to university graduates who got a first class degree this year.

New eatery Bo & Birdy at Blythswood Square Hotel is letting hard-working students who left uni this year pay for their meal based on their achieved degree.

So – if you received a first, you'll get treated to a free three-course meal from their new “farm to fabulous” menu.

For graduates who received a 2:1, the restaurant is offering a choice of complimentary starters – such the Ardunan Farm pork pie.

Finally, for those who graduate with a 2:2, a choice of a complimentary dessert will be on offer – such as the Bo & Birdy Salted caramel pudding with glazed banana and fudge ice cream.

Check out the menus on their website.

Gillian Matthews, Kimpton Blythswood Square’s Executive Head Chef, said: “With so many dining options for graduates in the city, we wanted to come up with a unique way for graduates and their families to celebrate. By offering such a unique and new dining experience in the city, we hope our guests agree we’re bringing to life soulful, hearty dishes using the best of Scottish produce – with an added twist of course.”

The graduation menu is available to lunch and evening diners from June 19 to July 31 and is priced at £35.

It features Highland Wagyu Sirloin Steak and St Andrew’s Farmhouse Cheddar macaroni cheese, swhich will appeal to meat-lovers and vegetarians alike.
