Unhappy Chelsea fans sing for Roman Abramovich and Thomas Tuchel as pressure grows on Graham Potter

Chelsea fans chanted the names of Roman Abramovich and Thomas Tuchel during their FA Cup humbling against Manchester City.

As the problems at Chelsea depended, unhappy away supporters at the Etihad Stadium turned on the club’s new owners and turned up the scrutiny on manager Graham Potter.

“Roman Abramovich” was sung by the away end in the second half before Chelsea supporters chanted “We’ve got Super Tommy Tuchel”.

Eight months after new Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital completed their £4.25billion takeover from Abramovich, Chelsea appear to be in crisis.

A run of one win in eight Premier League games has left the Chelsea 10th in the table and the team looks to be in decline, despite the club spending more than £300million in the transfer market since the takeover last May.

Chelsea were 3-0 down at half-time against Manchester City in their FA Cup third-round tie and went on to lose 4-0.

Frustrated Chelsea fans turned on the new owners, who sacked Tuchel in January and have come in for criticism for the problems at Stamford Bridge.

Potter has said he is confident he retains the support of controlling co-owners Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, but Chelsea fans signing the name of Tuchel leaves him vulnerable.

Under Abramovich’s ownership, Chelsea won every major trophy - two Champions Leagues, five Premier Leagues, five FA Cups, two Europa Leagues and three EFL Cups.

They also won the UEFA Super Cup and in February last year won their first Club World Cup.
