Fans are livid at the news Unforgotten will be forced off air by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after ITV landed the couple's tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
UK audiences will now get to see Harry and Meghan's much hyped chat with Oprah on Monday night, a day after it airs in America, with the famous host sitting down with The Duchess of Sussex to cover everything from stepping into life as a Royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work to how she is handling life under intense public pressure.
Later, the two are joined by Prince Harry as they speak about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family.
Delighted at securing the extended two hour interview in a rumoured £1million deal, Kevin Lygo, ITV Managing Director Media & Entertainment, said: "This interview is already a national talking point and ITV is pleased to be able to offer UK audiences the opportunity to see it."
As a result of the Harry and Meghan interview landing on ITV' s schedule on Monday, the third episode of Unforgotten's fourth series will now be moved to Tuesday night at 9pm.
The remaining episodes 4 - 6 will then be back to Monday nights at 9pm from March 15.
Fans are not happy at having to wait an extra day for Unforgotten, with one fuming: "that's outrageous! why should Unforgotten be moved? The majority of us are not interested in the Harry/Meghan saga!"
Agreeing, another reacted: "DCI Cassie Stewart deserves more than this! How very dare they move #Unforgotten for #HarryandMeghan that no one wants to watch" and a third ranted: "It's an insult to viewers to think we would rather watch Harry and Meghan over a really good drama."
Defending the couple, one Twitter user posted: "People are acting as if Harry and Meghan personally intervened to change #Unforgotten programming. ITV had plenty of options (using ITV Hub, amending times, utilising their other channels) but they didn't. So blame ITV."
