'Unexplained' sudden death of man in Lennoxtown woodland as police launch investigation

Police are investigating the sudden death of a man in a woodland in Lennoxtown, to the north of Glasgow.

The force were called to Glazert Water in the town at around 7pm last night after the 50-year-old man had died.

Officers have subsequently launched an investigation into the 'unexplained' death.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Emergency services were called to Glazert Water, near to the Station Road area of Lennoxtown around 7pm on Thursday, 7 May, following the sudden death of a 50-year-old man.

“Enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the death, which is currently being treated as unexplained, are ongoing.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
