A police investigation has been launched after a woman died suddenly at a property in Edinburgh. Officers were called to the scene in East Court at around 2.30pm on Tuesday, September 20, where the 59-year-old’s body was discovered.
A uniformed officer remains on guard outside the property as enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing. Police Scotland have confirmed they are currently treating the woman’s death as ‘unexplained’.
A force spokesperson said: “We were called around 2.30pm on Tuesday 20 September, to a report of a death at East Court, Edinburgh. Officers attended and the body of a 59-year-old woman was found within.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
