Police have launched an investigation after a man was found dead in Coatbridge this morning.
They were called to the scene in Dundyvan Road at 7.40am following the grim discovery on a grassy area beside the road.
The cause of the man's death as is yet unknown.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances."
