THE body of a man has been found inside a caravan parked in Dundee.
Police were called out to Broughty Ferry Road, at the junction with East Dock Street near the City Quay, at around 2pm on Monday afternoon.
Officers cordoned off the area around the caravan, and later confirmed that the body of a 51-year-old man had been found inside.
Locals told The Courier that there had been a “number of caravans” parked on the road in recent months, and that they believed the man had been living in one off and on.
Officers said that the death was being treated as unexplained.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2pm on Monday, police were called to a caravan on Broughty Ferry Road, Dundee.
“Officers attended and a 51-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Inquiries are ongoing and the death is currently being treated as unexplained; however, there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.”
