Snow fell on Britain over the weekend, settling on the ground for the first time this winter in some areas. While the snow tended not to be deep enough for sledging, attaching tennis rackets to your feet and hiking impressively to the next village, or total societal breakdown, there was at least enough to lead to the creation of slightly disappointing snowmen, according to reports.
