Mindfulness encourages us to reconnect with what’s going on inside and outside ourselves, moment by moment. This very simple form of meditation, little known in the West until recently, has been scientifically proven to help prevent emotional distress, anxiety, and even serious depression.
If you’re curious about mindfulness, or want to improve your understanding of it, come along to this inspiring class with Mark Williams, co-author of the bestselling book Mindfulness: A Practical Guide to Finding Peace in a Frantic World. In Mark’s words, it’s easy to lose touch with the way our bodies are feeling and end up “living in our heads”. This inspiring introduction to mindfulness includes practical guidance to help you master your thoughts and feelings, rather than be controlled by them.
Over the course of the evening, you’ll also learn about some of the latest discoveries from neuroscience, including the ways our consciousness, memory and attention respond to mindfulness training. Tickets are limited so book your place now – and discover how mindfulness meditation can help you to reduce stress levels and get more enjoyment out of life.
