Underground car park in West Dublin forced into quick evacuation after car burst into flames raging at nearly 500°C

An underground car park in West Dublin was forced into a quick evacuation after a car burst into flames raging at nearly 500°C.

Dublin Fire Brigade were quick to respond to the call out to the car park in Tallaght this evening where the raging blaze was dealt with in smoky conditions.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported at the scene.

The DFB posted these dramatic images of the blaze on social media, including a fascinating look at the car's body burning through a thermal camera.

They said: "Three fire engines have dealt with an underground car park fire in Tallaght tonight.

"A prompt evacuation led to no injuries being reported.

"The temperature of the vehicle was recorded approaching 500°C. Visibility was severely impacted"
