Underdog and Sportradar join forces to promote safer gaming environment

American sports fantasy company Underdog has entered into a new partnership with global sports technology firm Sportradar Group AG to incorporate Bettor Sense, the latter’s AI-powered responsible gaming solution.

The agreement makes Underdog the first U.S.-based operator to implement Bettor Sense, marking a significant step toward enhancing player safety and well-being.

“Collaborating with Sportradar to integrate Bettor Sense is another step in Underdog’s proactive approach to enhanced player protection across all entry types. The integration of this leading player protection technology to detect problem play and provide clear resources to those who need it, now including treatment services from the clinicians at Birches Health, is a critical step forward for our players,” Adam Warrington, Underdog’s VP of Responsible Gaming, said.

Bettor Sense is designed to detect problem gambling behaviors through advanced AI-driven analysis, while also offering direct access to care services provided by Birches Health, a national leader in evidence-based treatment for gambling disorders.

This combined approach by Underdog reflects growing expectations in the iGaming industry for proactive and comprehensive end-user protection.

Launched in July 2025, Bettor Sense leverages behavioral research to monitor player activity in real time. It performs continuous risk score checks, generates detailed player profiles, and supports personalized interventions, all while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

“We applaud Underdog for taking this meaningful step to not only safeguard, but also to provide resources to players who exhibit potential problem gaming behavior. Sportradar’s expertise and innovative solutions are designed to not only address the needs of our clients but also support a secure and sustainable industry,” Jim Brown, Head of Integrity Services & Athlete Wellbeing at Sportradar, shared.

By combining advanced AI monitoring with direct treatment pathways, this partnership between Underdog and Sportradar underscores a growing industry trend of moving beyond compliance to foster a genuinely safer gaming environment.

This announcement follows Underdog’s recent partnership with Crypto.com to launch federally compliant sports prediction markets within the Underdog app. The feature allows millions of fans to legally predict outcomes across major American sports leagues, including the NFL, NBA, MLB, and college football.
