'Under the radar!' — Manchester United fans excited amid Ibrahim Sangare transfer links

Manchester United are in the market for two midfielders this summer to replace Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic. One of their priority targets is Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong, who Erik ten Hag wants to reunite with at Old Trafford, but fans have been debating who the second could be.

Matic has been the club's only true defensive midfielder for some time and United are left with no options in this upon the Serbian's departure on a free transfer. So the club definitely need to find a replacement this summer.

Sky Sports have reported that the player that could take up Matic's mantle is Ibrahim Sangare. The 23-year-old Ivorian midfielder has impressed for PSV Eindhoven in the past season and was a key reason for why the club came second in the league behind Ajax and beat their rivals in the final of the Dutch Cup.

Sangare reportedly has a release clause of €35m (£30m) and has been linked to both United and Chelsea. Given that Ten Hag will need reinforcements in other areas, this seems like the perfect price point to help solve the team's midfield issues.

United fans are obviously excited, both at being linked with a new player that isn't De Jong or Jurrien Timber, but also that the club may finally be addressing their biggest problem area; so they have urged the club to complete the signing. They made their thoughts known on social media:
