Under 19s go free with Leap Cards this July

Anyone under 19 years of age will be able to travel for free for the entire month of July.

From July 1 until July 28, anyone who holds a child’s Leap Card won’t have to pay to get around.

It aims to get more families out and travelling during the sunnier period.

Good news for commuters (YouTube: Leap Card)

This covers all forms of public transport including Dublin Bus, Luas, Dart and Commuter Rail services.

Certain Bus Eireann services are also included but only on routes that allow the use of Leap Cards.

Anyone in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway as well as Ashbourne Connect and LocalLink services in rural areas can avail of this promotion.

Your card must have at least one cent credit for it to be able to be used and and child Leap Cards go out of date once you hit your 19th birthday.
