Undefeated prospects Khamzat Chimaev, Mzwandile Hlongwa to fight at Brave CF 27 in Abu Dhabi

A battle between two top prospects is on tap for Brave Combat Federation’s return to Abu Dhabi.

Undefeated Khamzat Chimaev will move back up to middleweight to take on Mzwandile Hlongwa at Brave CF 27, according to a person with knowledge of the situation but not authorized to speak publicly on the booking.

Brave CF 27 is set to take place Oct. 4 at Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi.

Chimaev (5-0) trains out of All Stars Gym Sweden, with the likes of Alexander Gustafsson, Jimi Manuwa and Ilir Latifi. The young prospect is coming off a spectacular uppercut knockout over formerly undefeated Ikram Aliskerov at Brave CF 23. He has continuously expressed interest in becoming a three-weight division champion for Brave as he continues to make a mark with quick and emphatic finishes.

Also undefeated, Hlongwa (4-0) is coming off EFC’s “Knockout of the Year”, a spinning back elbow over Torbjorn Madsen at EFC Worldwide 75. The South African native will be making his promotional debut when he takes on Chimaev.

Brave CF 27 will be headlined by a much anticipated rematch between newly crowned undefeated welterweight champion Abdoul Abdoulraguimov and Jordan’s Jarrah Al Selawe.
