It comes just moments after he was heard shouting he was going to "f***ing kill" Jamie in an foul-mouthed tirade.

He could be heard shouting: "Do you think you are a f**king big man, I’m going to f***ing kill you... I’m going to f***ing knife you."

Asan and Jamie's fight was broken up twice by security guards before the Emmerdale actor was escorted out of the glittering event.

ITV have launched an investigation into the clash that took place at 11pm in the lobby.

A spokesman for ITV said: "We are extremely concerned to hear about an incident at last night's TV Choice Awards involving one of Emmerdale's cast.

"Obviously we will be investigating and talking to the actor concerned in due course."

Asan has yet to break his silence following the shocking incident.

The furious fight broke out after the stars had been socialising among the great and the good of the TV world at the event.

Malique Thompson-Dwyer intervened to take his friend Jamie out of the dramatic situation.

He told The Mirror: "I told him to relax. I told him, 'This isn't that kinda party. It's the TV Choice Awards'."

Jamie remained at the party until 2am drinking with his pal and Love Island's Amber Gill.

Asan was nominated for Best Newcomer Award after his storyline saw his character stabbed.
