PUNE: Social welfare officer Pravin Hrishi Korangtiwar (41) lodged a complaint with the Bund Garden police on Saturday, after Rs 1 lakh was found in his antechamber.
Korangtiwar, in his complaint, said in his absence, unidentified person(s) kept an envelope containing the cash in a bookshelf of his antechamber on November 26.
“We have registered a case under Sections 8 and 12 of the Prevention of Corruption (PC) Act and are investigating the matter,” inspector Ashwini Satpute of the Bund Garden police told TOI.
Korangtiwar told police that on the day of the incident, an unidentified man wearing a face mask came into his office and inquired about a developmental project.
