Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves on PS5 will let players transfer PS4 save data and trophies

The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves  collection is coming out this week, and your old PS4 data will still be worth something on PS5.

On Monday, PlayStation confirmed that save data and trophies from the PS4 versions of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End  and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy  will work on PS5 (thanks, VGC). You’ll need to use the cloud storage feature on  PS Plus  to do so, though.

Anyone who owns Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End  and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy  on PS4 can upgrade to the PS5 versions for an additional $10 at release. In a somewhat strange move, Sony says that upgrades will require the PS4 disk to be inserted into the PS5 to play Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves. Obviously, the PS5 digital console owners won’t be able to take advantage of this deal.

It’s good that some of  the PS4’s best games  are making their way onto PS5, even if it’s a shame that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’s  multiplayer isn’t part of the package.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves  is coming to PS5 on Jan. 28, 2022, and the PC version will arrive  sometime later this year. Sony’s done a great job with PC ports as of late if God of War  is any indication.
