UNC game against FSU still scheduled despite wintry conditions in Florida

Florida State canceled classes on Wednesday in anticipation of a potential snow/ice storm, but the basketball game with North Carolina is still scheduled to be played at 7 p.m.

The Tar Heels arrived in Tallahassee, Fla. on Tuesday. Under ACC rules, if the teams and officials are in place the game can be played.

The temperature in Tallahassee on Wednesday morning was in the low 30s but there wasn't any precipitation as of 10:30 a.m.

UNC had two home games postponed last season: one because of an ice storm in the Triangle (vs. N.C. State) and one because of a water problem at the Smith Center (vs. Notre Dame).

ESPN2 is scheduled to broadcast Wednesday's game between the two ranked ACC teams. No. 12 UNC (12-2, 1-0 ACC) has won seven straight against the No. 24 Seminoles (11-2, 0-1).
