Bristol Rovers were able to afford to miss a penalty as they beat Blackpool 2-1 at the Mem on Saturday afternoon.
After being outplayed for large parts of the game, the Gas got back on level terms after Brandon Hanlon netted, before Sam Nicholson netted a wonder-goal to give Rovers the lead.
And that's the way it stayed despite the home side missing a penalty just after half-time as Hanlan's spot-kick was saved before the same player missed a gilt-edged chance late on in the first game of 2021.
