Unai Emery's stance on Arsenal transfers in the January window

Arsenal boss Unai Emery is not looking to add to his squad in the January transfer window, according to reports.

The Spaniard oversaw one of the Gunners' best summers in the transfer market in recent memory during the off-season as his rebuild begun to take shape.

Emery brought in some impressive new additions, including Kieran Tierney, Nicolas Pepe , and David Luiz; as well as offloading plenty of deadwood.

His side have made a decent start to the season, as they currently sit third in the table having lost only to league leaders Liverpool , while maintaining a 100 per cent record in the cup competitions.

And the Athletic report that Emery has seen enough to be convinced he has the tools at his disposal to not require any further reinforcements mid-season.

Question marks have been raised about Arsenal's defence despite the arrival of Tierney and Luiz.

But it appears Emery is waiting until the end of the season before making any adjustments, with youngster William Saliba already set to join the Gunners' ranks.

There could be players heading the other way at the Emirates however, with attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil no longer part of Emery's plans.

Arsenal face a job to get the German off the wage bill, and have resigned themselves to paying some of Ozil's £350,000-a-week salary to send him on loan.

Fenerbahce are thought to be the only interested party in securing Ozil's services, but admitted in summer that the financial element of a deal was proving to be an obstacle.

Shkodran Mustafi could also be moved on if Arsenal can attract any offers after failing to sell him during the summer.

One player Emery is hopeful of keeping hold of is on-loan midfielder Dani Ceballos.

The Real Madrid star has adapted well to life in the Premier League, and has featured in every Gunners match this season.
