Unai Emery reveals two things he wants to achieve as Arsenal manager

Unai Emery has already made an impact at Arsenal.

The Gunners have matched their points total from last season with seven games still remaining after beating Newcastle on Monday.

The Spaniard is laying the foundations for what supporters believe can be a successful and entertaining stint after replacing Arsene Wenger in the dugout at the Emirates.

And he's now opened up on the two things he is desperate to achieve with the club - playing crowd-pleasing football and, ultimately, winning trophies.

“To do something important, or to do something in the history, creating something," Emery told Copa90 when asked what he hopes to achieve with the club.

Unai Emery names two most improved players at Arsenal this season

“I want to create one team with a big energy, being competitive each match, playing good football.

“What is playing good football? To transmit or to do something every supporter can be for. We are doing all we can.

“After this, we are in the football to win some titles.

“It is not easy to do this and win titles, but that’s what I want to do, to be closer to taking a title.

“The Premier League at the moment is very difficult, and is very difficult in the past, in the present and in the future.

“But I want to play and I want to create here this new history in two ways.

“First with the players and with this very big atmosphere with our supporters to be proud of between us.
