Arsenal manager Unai Emery has said that Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac are back in training and are in contention for selection for the Premier League match against Burnley.
The duo missed the opening Premier League game against Newcastle due to concerns over the safety of the players after an incident involving thieves carrying knives last month.
The incident seems to have sparked a conflict between gangs, with the two players caught in the middle.
Both Ozil and Kolasinac have had extra security in order to protect them from the threat, and a decision was made to not take the risk over the players travelling to St James' Park.
However, Emery has confirmed that the two have now returned to training.
"They came back training with us on Tuesday, they came to start training with us, we had it off. Mesut Ozil is a little sick, he didn’t train yesterday," the Arsenal boss said in his pre-match press conference.
“Each training gives us good information, different options with them. Am I pleased to have them back? Of course.”
When questioned if the the players' full focus will be on the encounter against Burnley, the Gunners' boss was in no doubt.
"Their mentality is focused on us, for training and the match," he added.
“My focus is to be positive and think the players are 100 per cent with their mind here. I want to help them be normal with us, training, thinking and above all taking the focus for each match. “
